1. What is a flotation tank?
A flotation tank is a specially designed, enclosed space filled with water saturated with Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate), creating a highly buoyant solution. This allows you to float effortlessly, reducing external stimuli and promoting deep relaxation.
2. What are the benefits of using a flotation tank? Flotation tanks can offer numerous and cumulative benefits including:
Deep Relaxation: Promotes profound physical and mental relaxation.
Stress Reduction: Helps lower stress levels and anxiety.
Improved Sleep Quality: Enhances sleep and reduces insomnia.

3. How long is a typical flotation session?
A typical flotation session lasts between 60 to 90 minutes. This duration allows ample time for relaxation and achieving the full benefits of the flotation experience.
4. What should I wear during the float?
Most people opt to float nude to avoid any discomfort or distraction caused by clothing.
5. How often should I use the flotation tank?
This depends on your personal needs and goals. Typically people benefit most from recurring weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly sessions. You will experience benefits every time you float, no matter the frequency; it’s really up to you.
6. Is the water in the flotation tank clean?
Extremely! The water solution is maintained to high standards of cleanliness. In addition to the nature of the salt water solution. Each tank uses a high-capacity, multi-stage filtration and sanitization system with a flow rate of 100 gallons per minute. The pod water is processed through the system three times after each use in combination with hydrogen peroxide, UV light, and ozone treatment.
7. Can I bring personal items into the flotation tank?
No. For safety and cleanliness reasons, do not bring anything into the pod with you and be sure to remove all jewelry. You can store your items on the bench inside the room with you or in a cubby located near the reception area.
8. What if I have a medical condition or concern?
As with any physical activity, consult with your doctor or healthcare provider before using a flotation tank. Conditions like severe skin issues, open wounds, or certain types of infections may require specific medical advice.
9. How do I prepare for my flotation session?
Avoid Caffeine: Refrain from consuming caffeine a few hours before your session.
Avoid Heavy Meals: It’s best not to eat a heavy meal right before floating.
Avoid Shaving: Some people who have sensitive skin will want to avoid shaving right before a float, the salt water may feel irritating at first
Shower: You will take a quick shower in your room before entering the tank to remove any lotions, oils, or dirt.
Cover any cuts or scrapes: You will want to apply a thin layer of vaseline (provided) over any cuts or scrapes before entering the pod, since the salt concentration will sting if you don’t
10. What if I’m claustrophobic or anxious?
This is a common mis-conception. If you’re feeling anxious or claustrophobic, let our staff know beforehand. You are in control of your float experience. The tank can be left open if that makes you more comfortable, but most people experience a feeling of expansiveness once in the pod and any initial discomfort diminishes. You can always very easily open the pod at any time during your session. Music and lighting are also available during your float!
11. What if I have a tattoo?
If you have recently gotten a tattoo, wait until it is healed before you float.
12. What if I dye my hair?
If you have recently color-treated your hair, you cannot float until there is no more dye visible when you rinse your hair (several days).
13. Do I need to bring anything with me?
We provide private in-room showers, ear-plugs, shampoo, body wash, conditioner, and towels. If you wear contact lenses, you may want to bring something to hold them in while you float. And depending on your schedule, you may want to bring comfy clothes to put on after, so you can really show off your post-float glow ;-
